The PDMail (PlainDoc Mail) is a bare bones webmail that supports SAML SSO (Single Sign-On, using zxid.org) and Maildir/

It is WIP mail system actively used by Sampo (since 2010). In addition to pdmail you need a Maildir supporting mail server, such as Postfix, Courier, or QMail, and possibly IMAP and POP server (e.g. from Courier).

The design goal was to keep it very light weight and cross browser at HTML level. The system MUST operate without cookies (session in Query String) and without JavaScript, though JavaScript can be used to provide nonessential enhancements.

Spam filter integration is provided to spamkd (SPAM Killer Daemon, write Sampo for details).
